Out-of-Print Archive continues their impressive run of Official Sega Satrun Magazine releases with issue 34 from August 1998. Once again, the release is courtesy of meppi, who scanned, edited and compiled the release. You can check out the issue's details at the OSSM34 page, along with the accompanying online articles from the magazine itself: Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and Radiant Silvergun features, as well as arcade feature on Virtual On: Oratorio Tangram and an interview with AM#2 about Fighting Vipers 2.

Another big update week at Out-of-Print Archive. Not only is there another fine release of Super Play, but there are a couple of new sections in the website, namely a hardware section and the trade show section. The Super Play release is issue 3 from January 1993 and comes courtesy of meppi, who scanned and edited it. The accompanying online articles (ready to view straight away) from this issue include Super Aleste (SNES), Cosmo Gang: The Video (SNES), NES CD-ROM drive: the future of SNES games? (feature) and Dragon Quest V (SNES). As usual, the release is available to download in full, for free, from the Super Play #3 webpage shown below.

Big news this week at Out-of-Print Archive, as the first official release is announced with the second issue of Mega Drive Advanced Gaming -- a fantastic underrated magazine of its time. Fittingly, this milestone release was worked on by all the main contributors over at Out-of-Print Archive. Online articles chosen for the release include reviews of Gleylancer, Magical Tarot, Thunderforce IV and Twinkle Tale. Check out the MAG2 page over at OoPA for the content highlights, issue details and download link.

After revealing that the revelation of Out-of-Print Archive being sold off was, in fact, a rather sneaky April Fool joke, things are more or less back to normal at OoPA. A brand new scan of Mean Machines issue 2 has been released, courtesy of meppi. The release comes along with a handful of online reviews from the magazine itself, including Bubble Bobble on the NES, Rainbow Islands, Forgotten Worlds and Strider on the Mega Drive.

The first of OoPA's regular monthly feature, Back in Time looks at the classic videogaming magazines that were released 20 years ago this month. This month, is, naturally, April 1990 when the likes of Zzap!64, C&VG, Your Sinclair and Crash reigned supreme in the UK market.

That's not all though as there has been new sections created to accommodate this regular feature, mainly the micro computer section, which will eventually fill up with classic online material. This month the chosen online articles are Zzap!64 Amiga's review of Midwinter for the Amiga, Your Sinclair's review of Rainbow Islands for the ZX Spectrum, ACE's interview with Lucasfilm Games and Zero's hilarious Artistic Licensing featuring Back to the Future part II.

Back in Time feature - April 1990

Midwinter (Amiga)
Rainbow Islands (ZX Spectrum)

Artistic Licensing (Back to the Future part II)

Another update over at the Out-of-Print Archive, with the latest release of a quality magazine. This time with issue 35 of the Official Sega Saturn Magazine, which was scanned, edited and compiled by meppi. Out of the packed issue, four articles were chosen as online preview material: in-depth showcase of Radient Silvergun, interviews with SNK and AM2 and the review of Radient Silvergun. All this and more can be found at the OSSM35 page at Out-of-Print Archive.

Issue 6 of MAXIMUM has been released over at Out-of-Print Archive and what a fine cover to go with a games packed issue. The release was scanned, edited and compiled by meppi, who also had the hard choice of picking four articles to accompany the magazine. The four online articles chosen are the MAXIMUM close-up: Panzer Dragoon Zwei (Saturn), interview with id Software on Quake (PC), the Sony Playstation Expo '96 feature and the D&D Shadows Over Mystara (Arcade) feature. All this and more can be found at the MAXIMUM 6 page at Out-of-Print Archive.
